Okay, so personally, i’m not a fan of today’s pop music (at all). Especially the likes of Justin Bieber and Ke$ha. Justin Bieber could possibly have a good voice, but I just can’t get past the shittiness of his music. However, when someone slowed down his “You Smile” 800% it was referred to as a “ambient masterpiece”. And to be honest, it was pretty good. But about this video…. Ke$ha doesn’t have a good voice yet continues to make lots of money off of extremely catchy, awful, pop music. This is her song, “Tik Tok” slowed down 800%. I listened to it, for about nine minutes, before I was pretty sure that my brain started to melt and run out of my ears. This is certainly no “ambient masterpiece”. It’s not ambient anything, it’s actually rather frightening. So in this case, and this case only… Bieber wins.
I swear, I just keep coming back to this video. I’ve seen it so many times but keep looking it back up. I love Villagers, and this is just a beautiful version of Home. This is the epitome of what I consider to be a perfect live session. Enjoy!
Oh! And this guy, the lead singer of Villagers, is Conor J. O’Brien. It’s scary how much he reminds me of Bright Eyes’ Conor Oberst. They even have the same name!

Oh dear, I almost died watching this. The music is classically awesome , but the audience just can’t figure out how to dance to it! This song definitely warrants raised arms, swaying, and lighters, but I must admit, I absolutely love the unsynchronized bobbing.
Also, Neon Indian recently covered this… it’s a different, rather futuristic take, but it’s good.
